The ZPower silver-zinc rechargeable cell is the smallest, high-energy density microbattery available; enabling a new generation of products, including many new hearable/wearable devices, by providing 400 Wh/L in packages smaller than the collar button of a dress shirt. Tim Powers joined ZPower in 2004 and has been a critical part of the effort to commercialize silver-zinc battery technology. During his time at ZPower, Tim’s contributions include co-creating ZPower's patented charge algorithm and battery management systems. Tim was also instrumental in the design & development of ZPower’s Application Specific Integrated Circuit: the Z125 hybrid DC-DC converter for silver-zinc rechargeable microbatteries. His electrical engineering skill set and experience in the battery industry enables him to quickly assess customer needs and support the implementation of ZPower's rechargeable battery technology into their designs.
