Date: Thursday, July 11, 2019
Time: 11:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time
Sponsors: Mouser Electronics, Cypress and Molex
Event Type: Hands-on Virtual Training Workshop
Duration: 1 Hour
Please Join Cypress’ Mark Fu and Molex’s Alfonso Pena for a live hands-on, technical training on how to power your next product with any USB Type-C power adapter.
The world is quickly moving to USB Type-C with personal computers, smartphones, gaming consoles, digital cameras, smart speakers, and many more consumer products already adopting the standard. In fact, USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery will soon become the new universal power standard, replacing incompatible and inconsistent traditional barrel connectors, allowing you to carry just one USB Type-C power adapter to power any device.
Cypress and Molex are industry leaders in USB Type-C solutions. In this live virtual experience, attendants will learn:
- How to integrate Cypress’ EZ-PD Barrel Connector Replacement (BCR) controller and Molex USB Type-C Receptacles into their next designs easily and quickly
- How Cypress’ BCR solution allows any electronic device consuming less than 100W to be powered by a USB Type-C adapter with an easy-to-use reference design and no firmware development required
- How Molex’s USB Type-C connector and cables offers unique design features that allow us to address key industry challenges.
Mark and Alfonso will be answering audience questions on-air during the workshop. Participants are highly recommended to purchase a Cypress EZ-PD BCR Dev Kit (CY4533) and Molex USB Type C connector from Mouser to follow along, step by step in this live workshop.
