Electrical / Electronics (E/E) Architecture is a discipline developed by the Transportation & Mobility Industry over decades to manage the increasing complexity of vehicles. Dassault Systèmes (3DS) is bringing the Best Practices of E/E Architecture to All Industries with our New CATIA Magic Systems EE&S Architect Plug-in. Our Best in Class Systems Architecture Solution of CATIA Magic will provide E/E Architects the ability to accomplish their work in the same tool as Enterprise Architects and Systems Engineers, continuing and strengthening the Digital Thread between Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Model-Based Design (MBD). 3DS is uniquely positioned to bring our vast 3D modeling and simulation portfolio on the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform, multi-industry know-how, along with an MBSE Approach and benefits of the E/E Architecture discipline to the High-Tech Industry, accelerating Electronics Innovation.

This 30-minute Presentation will illustrate how 3DS provides value to the High-Tech Industry with MBSE & E/E Architecture including:

Erick Richardson is a Systems Engineer serving as a Systems Modeling and Collaboration Consultant with Dassault Systèmes (3DS). He holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology, and Certificates in Systems Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Cyber Security, and Systems Thinking from California Institute of Technology, Saint Louis University, and Cornell University. Fully aligned with his personal mission of “Engineering our world, one system at a time”, Erick presents and demonstrates Systems Engineering value propositions to 3DS Customers and Partners in the focus areas of analysis of Complex Systems, applications of Systems Engineering, and definitions of 3S (Systems, Software, and Solutions) Architecture. Erick also helps guide users to shape the world we live in with CATIA and creates end-to-end Digital Threads with integrations into our 3DEXPERIENCE® Platform and 3DS Self-Standing Tools as a trusted advisor in Systems Engineering and MBSE. Prior to joining 3DS in 2024, Erick spent over 20 years at various levels of abstraction in a variety of industries including Aerospace & Defense, High-Tech, Industrial Equipment, Infrastructure, Energy & Materials, Home & Lifestyle, Consumer Packaged Goods & Retail, and Architecture, Engineering, & Construction.
