This year we were interested in knowing what types of tools you use to help you during work as well as in other areas of your life. Nearly all respondents (97%) said they use PC-based workstations, with 11% using Sun machines and 8% using HP equipment.

Nearly all respondents (97%) said they use PC-based workstations, with 11% using Sun machines and 8% using HP equipment. Not surprisingly, virtually all respondents also said they run Windows operating systems, while 22% run Linux and 17% run Unix. On the personal technology side, 90% of you have laptops, 40% use PDAs (BlackBerrys, Palms, etc.), 27% have portable digital music players (iPods, etc.), and 17% dial in with smart phones.
