Calibration Deal A Winner For Rohde and Schwarz, Tektronix

Feb. 14, 2011
An agreement between Rohde and Schwarz and Tektronix makes for a single calibration source in North America for both companies' test gear.

Along comes news that Rohde and Schwarz and Tektronix have formed a relationship that enables the customers of both companies to contract with a single source for calibration services. This is a very smart move by these two players in test and measurement, and particularly for Rohde and Schwarz. Who wants to have to pay for and manage their relationships with more than one calibration service? By contracting with Tektronix's Service Solutions arm to handle calibration of its instruments in the U.S. and Canada, Rohde and Schwarz simplifies things for its customers in North America. Tektronix is a winner in this deal as well, gaining that much more work for its services operation.
