Transreflective LCD Comes In 4-Inch Size

OSD Displays has extended its liquid-crystal display product lineup by introducing a 4.0-inch full-color TFT-LCD. The OSD040T1227-19 transreflective LCD features a 480-by-800, 80-nit display with MIPI interface and full viewing angles. It’s mainly a reflective display when dealing with bright illumination, such as sunlight, with the contrast being constant with luminance. As such, the LCD is well suited for portable applications when battery life is a premium—only when exposed to dim and dark ambient situations does the backlight become a factor. Other potential bright-environment applications include the automotive and aviation fields.
