For uninterruptible-power-supply applications that call for efficient use of space combined with high energy density, the DataSafe HX family of 12-V batteries provides a high rate of discharge. These valve-regulated lead-acid batteries use a polypropylene compound for their cases and covers, improving high-temperature performance and increasing vibration resistance. Five models range from 204 W/cell to 506 W/cell (15-minute rate to a 1.67-V end voltage). Pricing starts at $89 each, with delivery in one week.
