The KAF-3200E CCD image sensor has been upgraded to provide what is reported as a significant increase in the CCD's ability to convert incident light into electrical energy. Renamed the KAF-3200ME, the upgraded sensor provides a peak quantum efficiency of 85%, 18% higher than its predecessor. In addition, QE for the blue wavelengths has been improved by 49% and by 25% in the near IR region. Overall, the sensor provides 3.2 million, 6.8 µm2 pixels with a spatial resolution of 2,184 x 1,510. For further information and price, contact EASTMAN KODAK CO., Rochester, NY. (716) 722-4385.
