The EPC9146 power board from Efficient Power Conversion (EPC) contains three independently controlled half-bridge circuits, featuring the EPC2152 monolithic ePower Stage with integrated gate driver, 80-V maximum device voltage, and 15-A maximum output current. The board also can be configured for multi-phase dc-dc conversion. The EPC2152 supports PWM switching frequencies up to 3 MHz are supported.

The EPC9146 contains critical functions for power-drive application, including monolithic power stage with integrated gate driver; regulated auxiliary power rails for housekeeping supplies, voltage, and temperature sense; accurate current sense; protection functions; and so on. Paired together with EPC9147A, it allows the user to control this power board directly through the Microchip dsPIC33EP256MC506 microcontroller board leveraging existing resources for quick development purposes.

The EPC9146KITA includes:
  • One EPC9146 400 W GaN-based motor inverter board
  • One EPC9147A mate board for the dsPIC33EP256MC506 plug-In module
