Compact scope supports TDR and TDT analysis

The PicoScope 9211A TDR/TDT Sampling Oscilloscope stimulates the DUT via two independently programmable, 100-ps rise-time step generators and then uses 12-GHz sampling inputs to build up a picture from a sequence of reflected or transmitted pulses. The results can be displayed as volts, ohms, or reflection coefficient against time or distance.

The analyzer also performs mask limit testing of a range of communications standards including SONET/SDH, Fibre Channel, Ethernet, and InfiniBand 2.5G and 5.0G. More than 150 industry-standard masks are included.

The analyzer triggering includes DC to 1-GHz direct, 1- to 10-GHz prescaled, 12.3-Mb/s to 2.7-Gb/s clock-recovery, and 10-Gb/s pattern sync. It connects to any Windows XP or Vista computer with a USB 2.0 port; an Ethernet port supports remote operation.
