WaveDFS, developed in conjunction with National Technical Systems, is an automated application that tests compliance of 802.11 access points (APs) to the dynamic frequency selection regulations. It creates regulatory-specified radar pulses, measures an AP’s response to these pulses, and provides real-time feedback and detailed reports documenting the behavior of APs in the presence of radar pulses.
The test solution produces all FCC, ETSI, and Japan pulse types, including the new proposed Bin 1 FCC without additional pulse-definition software or DSP programming. It sources and syncs traffic without requiring external devices and media players, performs detection bandwidth and detection probability tests, and detects channel-change announcements emitted by APs.
WaveDFS is supported by the WBW1101, WBW1104N, and WBW1101P WaveBlades.
