250°F shelf oven handles component age testing

No. 926 is an electrically heated, 250°F shelf oven and environmental test chamber designed for age testing electrical/electronic components. Heat to the load is provided by 12-kW installed in Nichrome wire elements. The workspace measures 68” W x 30”D x 66” H, and a 1,000-cfm, 1-hp recirculating blower supplies horizontal airflow.

The oven/test chamber features 4-in. insulated walls, an aluminized steel interior and exterior, and a 20” W x 56” H double-pane Lexan window in each of the unit’s two doors. It also includes a disposable fresh-air filter, a digital indicating temperature controller, a manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, a recirculating blow airflow safety switch, and a remote-control panel.
