Compact generator supports 200-µs switching time

The APSIN20G Microwave Signal Generator covers a frequency range from 10 MHz to 20 GHz and provides microhertz frequency resolution, a wide and accurately flat output power range to 30 dBm, and low spurious levels. Trigger and sweeping modes can be controlled via interfaces such as USB-TMC, LAN, and GPIB and operate from an optional internal battery.

The generator includes AM, DC-coupled wideband-FM, PM, FSK, and PSK, frequency chirp, and pulse modulation as standard, and all modulation modes can be combined. It features a 200-µs frequency switching time, a flexible triggering capability, and provision for attaching a USB power sensor. The temperature-compensated 100-MHz reference minimizes drift, but the APSIN20G can be phase-locked to almost any external reference in a range from 1 to 200 MHz. Saelig
