PXI RF VSA delivers 20-GHz/s scan rate

The PXIe-5665 Vector Signal Analyzer (VSA) combines the PXIe-5603 Downconverter with the PXIe-5653 Local Oscillator Synthesizer and the PXIe-5622, a 150-MS/s IF digitizer, to perform measurements from 20 Hz to 3.6 GHz with analysis bandwidths up to 50 MHz. It features a low phase noise of -129 dBc/Hz at a 10-kHz offset at 800 MHz, an average noise level of -165 dBm/Hz, a third-order intercept point of +24 dBm, and amplitude accuracy of ±0.10 dB. The platform also supports a flexible architecture for phase-coherent measurements for MIMO test and peer-to-peer streaming.

The PXIe-5665 can be mixed with other modules in an automated test system controlled by LabVIEW software. With RF toolkits for LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and .NET, the VSA can test standards including GSM/EDGE, WCDMA, LTE, WLAN, and WiMAX. National Instruments
