VNA design eliminates coax combiners

The VectorStar® ME7838A Broadband Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) provides single-sweep coverage from 70 kHz to 110 GHz with operation from 40 kHz to 125 GHz. The dynamic range is 108 dB at 65 GHz and 107 dB at 110 GHz, the measurement speed is 55 ms for 201 points, and the calibration and measurement stability is 0.1 dB over 24 hours.

Compact, lightweight millimeter wave (mmWave) modules can be mounted close or directly on a ­wafer probe station, eliminating MUX combiners. The ME7838A conducts broadband device characterization of active and passive microwave/mmWave devices including those designed into 60-GHz wireless personal area networks, 40-Gb/s and higher optical networks, 77-GHz and 94-GHz automotive radar, digital radio links, 94-GHz imaging mmWave radar, and Ka-Band satellite communications.
