Agilent Offers Z540.3 Calibration Service From 14 Locations in the Americas

SANTA CLARA, CA, August. 8, 2011

Agilent Technologies (NYSE: A) today announced that it has increased the company’s capability to provide on-site Z540.3 calibration services at locations from Canada to Brazil.

In March 2010, the Roseville, CA, service center became the first commercial calibration lab to be accredited by A2LA to ANSI/NSCL Z540.3-2006. Since then, 14 Agilent service centers, many with mobile calibration teams, have been accredited to Z540.3 by A2LA. These centers now offer Z540.3 calibration service for more than 500 models, up from 230 during the same time period.

“Many customers get confused about calibration deliverables vs. compliance to particular standards like Z540.3,” said Steve Aleshire, vice president and general manager of Agilent’s Americas Service Operation. “We’ve made it simple by focusing our calibration services on key deliverables. For instance, our Agilent Cal + Uncertainties service complies with ISO 17025 and Z540-1 while Agilent Cal + Uncertainties + Guardbanding service is compliant to ISO 17025, Z540-1, and Z540.3.”
