Scopes support fast signals for SerDes validation

Four new DPO/DSA70000D Series Oscilloscopes provide real-time sampling rates up to 100 GS/s on two channels and 50 GHz on four channels, both at 33-GHz analog bandwidth. The scopes have IBM’s 8HP SiGe chipsets and integrated bipolar transistors directly on the same die as standard CMOS to accommodate characterization of optical, RF, and serial data measurements beyond 20-Gb/s data rates.

Features include 10-TS equivalent time sampling; performance for characterization of sub 20-ps rise-time signals; input sensitivity at 62.5 mV full scale; and measurement analysis including 8b/10b serial decode, fast waveform data transfer within the instrument, and custom region-based qualification using the Visual Trigger capability. Up to 33-GHz bandpass support is provided through the TekConnect™ channel interface.

The scopes also incorporate DataStore, a data-processing pathway for use with third-party software.
