The first annual IEEE-Chicago Section Technical Conference and Exhibition, sponsored in cooperation with Argonne National Laboratories, will be held Nov. 15 in Argonne, IL. “Today’s Challenges—Tomorrow’s Solutions” is the theme for the one-day program that will offer insight into energy-related updates, engineering issues from a personal level, development of new technology, and engineering skills enhancement.
Green buildings, smart roads/smart cars, patents and copyrights, mobile applications, wind power storage, and surgical and technical advancements to improve the lives of amputees are among the topics that will be addressed. The list of technical speakers includes Donald G. Hillenbrand, Ph.D., director of the Center of Transportation Research, Energy Research Division at Argonne National Laboratories; and Dr. Clifford Kraft, a legal expert in intellectual property issues.
An exhibition that runs during the conference will feature goods and services from a variety of companies.
Registration forms for the conference can be found at www.ieeechicago.org. Registration fees are available for IEEE members and non-IEEE members plus reduced rates for IEEE lifetime members and retired, unemployed, or student attendees. The fees increase after Sept. 2.
