The ASD Series of industrial-grade solid-state drives (SSDs) features a SATA 6-Gb/s (SATA III) interface. The series, designed for use in rugged embedded applications, includes the ASD25-SLC with SLC NAND flash and a -40°C to 85°C operating temperature range; the ASD25-MLC with MLC NAND flash; the ASD18-MLC with a 1.8-in. SATA interface and MLC NAND flash; and the ASDHS-MLC, a half-slim (JEDEC MO-297) drive and MLC NAND flash.
The SSDs provide increases in read/write speeds over HDD, low latency with less than 1-ms access time, power consumption as low as 2 W, and high storage capacity. They handle a shock and vibration tolerance to 1,500 G, 0.5-ms duration and 3.08 Grms, 7 to 800 Hz, respectively, and support firmware-optimized RAID function and TRIM commands.
