Card Enables Optical, DC, And RF Switching

Sept. 1, 2001

All available within a singular instrument, the Model 7090 optical switching card performs optical, dc and RF switching. The card is said to provide rapid switching of an optical signal between several instruments, a single instrument between multiple devices, or a combination of both. The card is available in 1 x 4 and 1 x 8 switching configurations, allowing systems that can accommodate up to four or eight devices under test (DUTs) or instruments, or greater by using cascaded switches. Targeted applications include laser diodes, photodiodes, optical add/drop multiplexers (OADMs), LEDs and OLEDs, and VCSEL arrays.Price for a 1 x 4 switching card is $5,995 and for a 1 x 8 card is $7,995.
