The MAX1566/MAX1567 high-efficiency six-channel power-supply ICs suit digital still cameras and digital video cameras. Packaged in a 40-pin, 6- by 6-mm thin QFN, the chips combine dc-dc converters with synchronous rectifiers to provide a 95% efficient conversion for the main supply (3.3 V typ), system supply (5 V typ), and core supply (1.5 or 1.8 V typ). Three controllers supply power for the white LED backlight module, positive and negative charge-coupled-device biases, and positive and negative LCD biases. Prices start at $2.90 each in quantities of 1000.
