Ir LED Lights The Way For CMOS/CCD Cameras

Sept. 9, 2011
Introduced as the smallest infrared LED in the 1W power class, the OSLON SFH 4715S infrared LED measures 3.75 x 3.75 mm², enabling compact illumination units for CMOS and CCD cameras.

Introduced as the smallest infrared LED in the 1W power class, the OSLON SFH 4715S infrared LED measures 3.75 x 3.75 mm², enabling compact illumination units for CMOS and CCD cameras. It delivers 1,070 mW of optical power at 1A operating current and features a typical thermal resistance of 6.5 kW. A lens with a ±45° emission angle is integrated into the device, allowing the component to deliver 15% more output power than components without lens. Other features include a wavelength of 850 nm, operating currents up to 5A in the range of 10 MHz, and an operating lifetime up to 50,000 hours. OSRAM  OPTO SEMICONDUCTORS, San Jose, CA.
