A new super thin, surface-mount LED measuring a mere 0.4 mm thick has been developed for use in space-restricted applications, such as in backlights for keypads and other types of switches. Made of a GaP material, the PY1114CK LED comes in yellow-green with a milky white lens. Luminous intensity is 5.6 mcd and IF is 10 mA. Forward voltage is typically 2.1V with an IF of 10 mA, and reverse current (IR) is 100 µA maximum with a VR of 4V. Operating temperatures range from -40°C to +85°C. Pricing is $0.027 each.
