Logging in as the brightest auto-focus LED on the market, the ASMT-FJ10 provides the necessary illumination to operate the automatic focus function of a digital camera under low-light conditions and at a range up to 3m. Measuring 4.8 mm x 4.8 mm, the component delivers a typical light output of 18 candelas at 20 mA. It is a lead-free, surface-mount dome lamp employing an optimized, un-tinted, non-diffused lens with a radiation pattern (half-value angle) of 8º. The die is fabricated from AlInGaP material to support drive currents up to a maximum of 50 mA. Installed without additional collimating optics, the LED meets Class 1 eye-safety requirements of IEC/EN 60825-1 (2001) under all conditions of operation and single-fault failure. Pricing is available upon request. AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Palo Alto, CA. (800) 235-0312.
