SEMI reports that the University of California, Berkeley, is working to change the way organizations recruit from its college of engineering. According to Cristina Sandoval, manager of workforce development at SEMI, the University of California Women in Tech Initiative at UC in collaboration with the College of Engineering at UC Berkeley developed Berkeley’s Corporate Diversity and Inclusion Survey. Companies can complete the survey with the goal of recruiting Berkeley engineering students seeking to work for companies that reflect their values and that offer equitable, inclusive workplaces.
In a blog post, Sandoval interviews Jill Finlayson, director of the Women In Technology Initiative at Berkeley, about the survey and its importance. Read the complete post here.
