A new dipped RC network series is designed to suppress contact arcing and help filter unwanted electrical noise. The network consists of a specially designed capacitor and resistor connected in series and coated with a flame-retardant epoxy. This dipped network includes various capacitor and resistor values in four distinct series. It has the capability to store surge voltages and current energy, affording protection against inductively induced potentials. The dielectric material of the capacitors used in this network is said to achieve a high degree of withstand voltage strength. Capacitance and voltage ranges of the four series are as follows: 1.0 µF at 125 Vac, .15 µF at 250 Vac, .25 µF at 250 Vac and .50 µf at 250 VAC. Resistor values are 22? through 680?.
