Infrared Sensor Head Measures Miniature Targets To 1 mm

Aug. 1, 2000

Target sizes to 1 mm can be measured accurately with the Pyrofiber Single Axis Fiber Optic Sensor Head. The device performs precise IR temperature and emissivity values of miniature targets and is part of the Pyrofiber Lab, Automatic Emissivity Correcting IR Temperature Measurement System. The sensor head utilizes a pulse laser technology to measure infrared radiance while simultaneously measuring and making corrections for unknown emissivity values.
The sensor head incorporates a design allowing the energy for both the radiance and the emissivity correcting laser return signal to travel on the same axis. Ambient temperatures of 250°C are tolerated.
