Touting the lowest direct current resistance (DCR) ratings in the industry, the new PB2020 series of drum-core inductors has been designed for high-frequency dc/dc power supply circuitry. The series handles DCR ranges from 1.62 to 29.00 mW, resulting in minimal power loss ratings. Compact and ruggedized, the inductors maximize design flexibility, with 10 inductance values and up to 30A current handling. Inductance values range from 0.65 to 29.00 µH. Maximum energy storage of the inductors is 500 µJ with a frequency range to 1 MHz. Applications include power systems for telecommunications, industrial control systems, and automotive and heavy equipment vehicle systems where high package density and high-energy efficiency are desired. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C. The surface-mount package is compatible with all contemporary pick-and-place processes. Pricing starts at $0.86 each/10,000. PULSE, San Diego, CA.
