The company’s forthcoming broadband set-top box system-on-chip (SoC) promises to deliver market-leading energy efficiency, extreme high performance, best-in-class security features, and support for a wide variety of open-source environments. The SoC supports value-added services such as state-of-the-art gaming, Over The Top (OTT) video playback via third-parties over the Internet, emerging apps, and secure High-Definition streaming to all connected screens such as tablets, smartphones, PCs and TVs throughout the home. Codenamed Orly, the IC features a multi-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore processor and support for Adobe Flash-based gaming, media and data-driven applications.
