Described as the industry's first ac/dc-isolated LED driver modules with constant-current circuits optimized for driving high-intensity LEDs, the BP58xx series integrates all necessary LED-driving control circuits, switching elements, isolation transformers, and constant-current circuits into single SIP packages measuring 32.9 mm x 25.0 mm x 15.1 mm. Features include minimal ambient temperature-based, constant current fluctuation (±1% accuracy), a power-conversion efficiency of 85%, and an adjustable constant-current isolation of 150 mA to 1A. The BP5843A accepts an input voltage from 113 to 170 Vdc and delivers an output voltage and current from 2.5V to 12V and 250 mA to 350 mA, respectively while the BP5842A accepts an input voltage from 113 to 170 Vdc and delivers an output voltage and current from 2.5V to 4V and 700 mA to 960 mA, respectively. Price for either module is $4.50 each/25,000. ROHM ELECTRONICS, San Diego, CA. (858) 625-3630.
