Available in a flat-lead package measuring 4.6 mm x 2.64 mm and 1.85 mm high, the PS7801-1A, PS7802-1A, and PS7803-1A are claimed as the industry’s smallest, single-channel solid-state relays. Each of the relays in the family provide a CxR of 12 pF?, VL of 40V, and an ILOFF of 120 pA. Depending on the relay, on resistances range from 1.1? to 11.5?, COUT from 1.2 to 11.5 pF, and IL from 100 mA to 150 mA. On times are 20 µs and 30 µs and off times are 80 µs and 150 µs. Other features of the three components include a GaAs LED on the input side and a pair of MOSFETs on the output side. Their reliability is said to be better than EMR devices by a factor of 150 times. Prices start at $2 each in production quantities. CALIFORNIA EASTERN LABORATORIES, Santa Clara, CA. (408) 588-2208.
