With a specified resolution of better than 0.01", the OTBC line of reflective mark sensors are suitable for use in a range of applications from bar-code slot readers to currency validation equipment. Available in two styles, the OTBC-0480 employs an infrared LED and the OTBC-0490 uses a red LED. Both components feature a compact footprint and integrate a phototransistor sensor, an optical lens, and an optical aperture in a plastic housing. Features common to both sensors include an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, a 0.125" depth of field, and a rise and fall time of 15 µs.
