For driving electroluminescent (EL) backlighting in wireless applications such as handsets, the D361 low-noise inverters are said to virtually eliminate unwanted noise using a proprietary IC that reduces the rate of voltage discharge from the lamp. The inverters require only three additional components and a supply of 2.5 to 6.5 vdc. They deliver high output voltages and consume low standby current.
