Nine New Models Join Ranks Of SMT Power Choke Line

Dec. 1, 1998
The non-shielded SDR Series and shielded SRR Series of surface-mount power chokes have gained two and seven new models, respectively, greatly expanding the range of power chokes available to designers of dc-to-dc converters and other power sources.

The non-shielded SDR Series and shielded SRR Series of surface-mount power chokes have gained two and seven new models, respectively, greatly expanding the range of power chokes available to designers of dc-to-dc converters and other power sources. Now embracing a total of five models, SDR chokes range from 3.7 to 6.0 mm high, can handle 2.6A (max.), span an inductance range of from 1.5 to 1200 µH, and offer reduced interference frequencies. The non-shielded chokes are shipped in embossed tapes, holding from 400 to 1000 pieces per reel. The shielded SRR Series now includes nine models that stand 3.7 to 8.0 mm high, can handle up to 7.5A, and span a 2.2 µH to 10 mH inductance range. The chokes come in 400-, 600- or 1000-piece reels.
