Ultrasonic Sensors Have Analog Output & Teach Mode

May 1, 1999

These ultrasonic, industrial position sensors with analog output and teach mode offer simple, one-button programming and require no special tools for setup. The teach function lets users select both limits of the sensing range and the steepness of the analog output. The output function is invertible to let users select a rising or falling output slope as needed for the specific application. All adjustments are made using the teach-in button, and settings can be easily monitored using the multi-colored LED indicator. Setup configuration is saved on an internal EEPROM. Operating range is 100 to 700 mm, and the analog output is rated from 0V to 10V. The sensors are suitable for use in, among other things, web tension or breakage control, monitoring roll diameter, and measuring applications.
