The company has redesigned its Series 10 miniature photoelectric sensor line to produce a longer sensing distance and a quick disconnect feature. The sensors are available in four models: FHDK 10 diffuse sensor with background suppression; FPDK 10 retro-reflective sensor with polarization filter; FZDK 10 diffuse sensor with intensity difference; and FSDK 10/FEDK 10 through-beam sensor. The diffuse versions offer enhanced, adjustable sensing ranges to 200 mm. The improved nominal sensing range of the Series 10 through-beam sensors is six meters, while the retro-reflective sensors offer improved gain at short sensing distances. All Series 10 sensors feature a rectangular subminiature housing and will indicate a soiled lens condition using a flashing LED. Diffuse versions offer true background suppression in conjunction with precision sensing characteristics and retro-reflective versions with polarization filters easily detect objects with highly reflective surfaces.
