With an adjustable sensitivity, the CSE15 uG capacitive momentary and latching switch element under glass can be activated with the slightest touch or by merely approaching the surface under which it is mounted. It employs no mechanical parts and can be mounted under or behind any non-conductive surface measuring up to 20 mm thick. The switch comes with point illumination in several colors, provided by four LEDs, one in each corner. On/off feedback can be achieved by connecting the illumination directly to the switched output signal. All internal electronics are molded in a hermetically sealed plastic frame, making the assembly resistant to contaminants. Multiple switches can be configured in a grid of 15 mm x 15 mm with a connection system that uses a PCB connector. This connector may be integrated to the base PCB, allowing the array to be mounted using a plug-in technique. Pricing starts at $25 each/50 with a delivery from six to eight weeks.
