Shunt Protectors Guard LED Lighting

March 1, 2011
The LSP-Series shunt protectors ensure proper operation of LED lighting apps configured in strings.

The LSP-Series shunt protectors ensure proper operation of LED lighting apps configured in strings. If an open LED occurs, the shunt protector allows the unaffected lights in the string to remain illuminated by shunting current around the inoperable LED.  The series includes four models:  LSP0600BJR-S, LSP0900BJR-S, LSP1300BJR-S, and LSP1800BJR-S. Users can maximize the level of protection by selecting the model LSP0600BJR-S and using one device per LED. Alternatively, they can reduce their protection costs by selecting models LSP0900BJR-S, LSP1300BJR-S, or LSP1800BJR-S that isolate groups of two, three or four LEDs respectively. As a pricing example, the LSP0600BJR-S is priced at $0.30 each/10,000. BOURNS INC., Riverside, CA. (951) 784-3100.
