Introduced as an entry-level addition to the Gxx line of enclosures, the G0808 CompactPCI is suitable for a wide range of applications from communications to medical. This 8U enclosure provides eight slots, blower cooling, three 5.25" and two 3.5" drive bays, and a number of ac/dc power supply options.
Cooling integrated in the drive section claims to allow for a full complement of 10,000 rpm or 15,000 rpm drives to operate over their full-rated life span without failure. The blower is said to deliver forced air to the most critical areas of the enclosure with high resistance to back pressure from a fully loaded subrack. Pricing begins at $1,449 for a basic configuration.
