High-Side Monitors Support Wide Voltage Range

The HV7801 and the HV7802 high-side current monitor ICs from Supertex feature a very wide operating range of 8 V to 450 V. Both devices have rise and fall times of 700 ns and low quiescent currents of 50 μA. They are well suited for markets such as motor controls, and switched-mode power supplies. The HV7801 is available in a 5-lead SOT23 package (HV7801K1-G) and the HV7802 is available in an 8-lead MSOP package (HV7802MG-G). Samples are available, and pricing is $0.56 each for the HV7801K1-G, and $0.62 each for the HV7802MG-G, both in 1000-unit quantities.
