Heralded as the first ever Digital Video Broadcasting from Satellite to Handhelds (DVB-SH) receiver, the DIB29098 is also touted as the most complex and powerful Mobile TV chip to date. Yet another first, it features Diversity-2 support for dual antennas in one chip. This technology enhances receiver performance in both outdoor and indoor situations. The DIB29098 is a quad-band, multi-mode receiver with dual RF tuners supporting VHF, UHF, L-Band, and S-Band frequencies. It packs a dual demodulator that processes DVB-T, DVB-H, and DVB-SH signals plus a turbo decoder with its associated memory for DVB-SH forward error correction. Samples of the DIB29098 will be available in the third quarter. DIBCOM, Palaiseau, France. +33(0)1 76 91 54 00.
