Portable Spectrum Analyzers Perform 3G Measurements

July 1, 2001

Targeted at measurements of 3G networks and components, two new spectrum analyzers are high-performance portable instruments. The new R3172 and R3182 analyzers integrate key features normally found only in higher-end, benchtop instruments. Bandwidth of the R3172 is 26.5 GHz, while the R3182 reaches out to 40 GHz.Both models include pre-programmed measurements for mobile communications that range from spurious noise tests to power measurements. Both models also integrate an RF mixer stage, normally an external device in portable instruments. Available now with a 12-week delivery ARO, the R3172 starts at $30,950, while the R3182 starts at $41,950.
