Key features of this device include pin-for-pin compatibility with the MSM3100 chipset, an integrated gpsOne position-location processor that includes SnapTrack technology, a real-time 256x searcher, embedded Bluetooth baseband processor, Bluetooth 1.0-standard compliance, multimedia software support, 2.3V to 3V I/O, and a 208-ball FBGA package. Sample shipments are expected in the third quarter of 2000 with production quantities expected to start at the end of the year.
