Supervisory Software Runs Under Windows CE

Sept. 1, 1998

A software package for Windows CE provides supervisory control, process monitoring and operator interface functionality. CEView software is based on the company's full-scale Windows NT supervisory system and has many of the same features, including an object-oriented database, math functions, report generation, archiving, alarms, batch recipes and interfaces for TCP/IP, PLCs and remote I/O.Applications and screens for the CEView system are created on a desktop PC using the same Windows 95/98/NT tools used by the NT system, including a screen editor, symbol library, alarm definitions and a recipe generator. All modules are developed using an Applications Program Interface. When development is complete on the desktop, the system can be downloaded to any smaller PC, including handhelds, palmtops, mobile PCs and embedded computers.
