Tool Helps Predict Radiation Absorption By Human Tissue

An electromagnetic radiation (EMR) simulation model in the companyÕs Micro-stripes EM analysis software can be used by designers to assess absorption rates for human tissue exposed to EMR, such as is radiated by mobile phones. The way EMR is absorbed by brain and other human tissue is assessed via Specific Absorption Rates (SARs), with this information used in certifying products, addressing public health issues, and determining product performance, such as transmission quality.The software has also been used to calibrate IndeXsarÕs MapSAR, a SAR measurement system designed to make testing of new products quicker and cheaper.
