The ADN Series of DIN-rail switching power supplies from Astec Power includes five models that offer power ratings of 60 W to 480 W, all with a nominal output voltage of 24 Vdc and a robust 20 ms holdup time, as well as a 50% brownout tolerance from the selected nominal input voltage. The compact units, intended to mount conveniently on standardized DIN rails in industrial enclosures, are designed for rugged operation with temperatures as high as 60°C with no derating and no forced-air cooling requirement. Suitable for factory automation and other industrial applications, ADN Series models can accommodate large peak loads needed to run motor-controllers and other devices with high surge current demands.

Featuring an industrial-grade design with high mean time between failures (MTBF), reliability and efficiency greater than 90%, the units are approved for use in Class 1, Div 2 hazardous locations and meet the SEMI F47 standard requirements for voltage sag immunity in semiconductor fabrication equipment. All models incorporate Power Factor Correction and auto select between 115-Vac and 230-Vac nominal input voltages, except for the 60-W version that accepts universal input from 85 Vac to 264 Vac. The series features nominal output current ranges from 2.5 A to 20 A, depending upon the model, and all but the 100-W model can support up to double their nominal current for up to 2 sec.

The devices sport a user-friendly front panel with adjustable voltage control, parallel operation switch, convenient input/output connections and dc status indicator along with easy-mounting hardware on the rear for DIN-rail installation.
