Advanced Analogic Technologies Inc. has opened a new product design center in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro region. Staffed with experienced semiconductor designer engineers, the facility will augment ongoing product development efforts at AnalogicTech headquarters in Sunnyvale, Calif.

“To meet our customers’ growing demands for innovative new power management products, we are continually seeking qualified IC designers to help build our next generation of devices,” said Kevin D’Angelo, vice president of engineering for AnalogicTech. “The top-notch engineering talent in this new design center will allow us to expedite the development of leading-edge power management technology.”

The Dallas-Fort Worth metro area is home to several high-profile companies that specialize in power management ICs, a critical component in portable products such as mobile phones, digital music players and digital cameras. Scott Curry, AnalogicTech’s new director of IC design and development, will manage the design center. Prior to joining AnalogicTech, Curry held design engineering positions at Texas Instruments and Dallas Semiconductor.

To keep pace with AnalogicTech’s key initiatives for product development, the new Dallas-area design center will rapidly expand to house a full complement of designers, product engineers, test development engineers and related staff. The facility is located in the Pavillion Office Park at 1231 W. Campbell Rd., Richardson, Texas 75080.
