International Rectifier (IR), a provider of power management technology, and Memec, a global semiconductor distributor specializing in demand creation, have signed a global distribution agreement. IR values Memec's demand creation model and has selected the distributor to provide technical sales, marketing, distribution and logistics globally as an extension of IR's existing sales and support channels. Memec has offices in more than 30 countries, including Japan, and 130 cities.

Robert Grant, IR's executive vice president of sales and corporate marketing, said, "This relationship will strengthen our position in target markets, utilizing our expanding proprietary product portfolio. Together, we can deliver innovative power management solutions to a broad base of customers."
