Primarion, a mixed signal semiconductor company that provides digital control of power and I/O solutions, has expanded its global sales team. Primarion selected Chris Henningsen to serve as vice president of sales. In this position, Henningsen will be responsible for driving Primarion's revenue growth with customers worldwide, focusing on increasing market penetration and accelerating demand for digital power ICs. Gordon Fang also joined Primarion as Asia sales director, and will support and expand the company's growing presence in the Asia market. Additionally, Primarion announced the promotion of John B. Kennedy to vice president of finance.

"Chris and Gordon bring strong technical sales, business development and marketing expertise to Primarion's sales team at a time when customers are transitioning to digital power ICs in high-end computers, workstations and servers," said Ron Van Dell, president and CEO, Primarion. "Chris has a solid history of success at semiconductor companies, especially in developing internal product line startups, and Gordon has established experience in expanding sales operations in Asia. Their proven abilities to drive sales growth in high technology market segments will greatly benefit Primarion as we expand and grow in the digital power arena."

With more than 18 years of semiconductor experience in sales and marketing, Henningsen was previously the vice president of corporate marketing for Intersil Corp., a leading high-performance analog semiconductor company. Henningsen also served as Intersil's co-vice president and general manager of the wireless networking business, and vice president of marketing for the wireless networking and communications products businesses. In addition, he had key marketing leadership roles on integration teams following Intersil's acquisitions of Elantec and Xicor. Henningsen also held sales and marketing positions with Harris Semiconductor—prior to the launch of Intersil—and Analog Devices. Henningsen received a BS degree in physics from the University of Vermont.

Joining the global sales team headed by Henningsen, Fang has more than 18 years of business development expertise in the Asia Pacific semiconductor industry. He previously held sales positions with National Semiconductor, focusing on expanding the company's presence in China and Taiwan. Fang also worked for Mitel Semiconductor, Yang Shen Technologies, Princeton Technology Corp./Orchard Electronics and Lite-On Electronics. A graduate of Chung Yuan Christian University, Fang will be based in Taipei.

"To help guide and support our growing company, we are pleased to announce the promotion of John B. Kennedy to vice president of finance," Van Dell said. "John has a proven track record in public and startup companies. His expertise in the financial management of established and emerging companies is the perfect combination to help take Primarion to the next level as the company continues to expand its market presence globally."
