In June 2009, the DoE's Industrial Technologies Program received $256 million in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to support energy efficiency improvements in major industrial sectors across the American economy. Three programs were allotted funding targeted at reducing the energy consumption of the nation’s manufacturing and information technology industries, while creating jobs and stimulating economic growth. Applications for the following two projects are due this month.
Recovery Act: Energy Efficient Information and Communication Technology. This FOA aims to encourage research, development, and demonstration of energy-efficient information and communications technology systems throughout the United States. The deadline for submitting applications is July 21, 2009, 11:59 p.m. EDT.
